DITO 5G WoWFi: Philippines’ Fastest Wireless Internet for Homes

DITO-Telecommunity

DITO Telecommunity is proving that it's more than just the country's newest telco—it's a serious game changer. In recent updates, the company shared major milestones that showcase the strength of its network and its growing Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service.

From being awarded as the Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines to rapidly expanding its DITO Home WoWFi, DITO is doubling down on delivering reliable, wireless internet to Filipino homes—especially in areas that need it most.

Fastest Network in the Country
According to Opensignal’s April 2025 report, DITO won 14 out of 16 Mobile Network Experience Awards, including all five top categories for Overall Experience and a complete sweep of the 5G Experience Awards. These awards are based on real-world usage, making it clear that DITO isn’t just fast on paper—it’s fast where it matters.

“Winning 14 out of 16 awards is a testament to DITO’s commitment to deliver world-class connectivity to every Filipino,” said DITO President and CEO Eric Alberto.

Alberto highlighted that DITO reached 92.87 Mbps on 4G and up to 597.7 Mbps on 5G, thanks to its decision to build a full 5G Standalone (SA) network rather than rely on older infrastructure.

Why Wireless Is the Better Option
Wired internet has its share of issues, from fiber cuts to slow rollouts. DITO believes that Fixed Wireless Access is the solution to these problems, especially in areas that fiber can’t reach.

“Fiber lines get cut, they’re expensive, and they don’t reach everyone. Fixed Wireless Access solves all of that. It brings fast internet to homes that fiber can’t serve,” Alberto explained.

This is where DITO Home WoWFi comes in—a wireless home broadband service that’s growing fast and delivering high-speed connectivity through DITO’s true 5G SA network.

WoWFi Is Gaining Ground
DITO Chief Revenue Officer Atty. Adel Tamano reported that DITO WoWFi now has over 250,000 subscribers, with about 1,200 new users joining daily. Nearly half of the users are already on 5G-ready plans.

“There are 24 million households in the Philippines, but only 8 to 9 million have broadband—and even then, the service is often inconsistent,” said Tamano. “WoWFi is our answer to that problem.”

WoWFi Pro offers speeds of up to 100 Mbps, unlimited 5G data, and a plug-and-play setup that doesn’t need professional installation. It’s a fast, reliable, and affordable option for homes looking to upgrade their internet experience.

“This isn’t just about launching another WiFi product. This is about giving real value and opening up digital access to more Filipinos,” Tamano added.

DITO’s Full 5G Network Gives It the Edge
Unlike most telcos still operating on Non-Standalone 5G, DITO built its network from the ground up with Standalone 5G. That means faster response times, better performance, and support for new tech like RedCap—a low-cost, low-power 5G standard built for smart devices and IoT.

DITO WoWFi: A Wireless Alternative to Fiber
DITO Chief Technology Officer Rodolfo “GenBoy” Santiago gave a deeper look into how their 5G network powers WoWFi.

“DITO WoWFi Pro offers speeds comparable to entry-level fiber. It’s like getting fiber-speed internet, but wireless—easy to install, affordable, and reliable,” said Santiago. No contracts. No waiting for a technician. Just fast internet you can take home today.

DITO WoWFi offers both prepaid and postpaid options to fit different needs:
